On January 6, 2021, Jay Myerson again had the opportunity to be the sponsor before the Virginia Supreme Court of a number of recent law school graduates seeking admission to the Virginia State Bar. After the conclusion of the ceremony, Jay expressed these sentiments:
“Especially on a day like today, it was a great honor to be part of such a momentous occasion for these men and women who are embarking upon their careers and listening to our Chief Justice exhort them on the important role they will play in upholding the Rule of Law. We are a diverse nation, a melting pot, but the glue which holds us together and to which we pledge our fidelity is the Rule of Law and the Constitution, not to any person. As attorneys, these young people have the opportunity to be the guardians of that sacred trust for another generation.”
